We hiked at Fort Benjamin Harrison today after a 3-4" snowfall early this morning. The park was beautiful - the line at the admission gate was long, and the destination for most people was the new sledding hill.
We only saw a couple of other people as walked the Fall Creek Trail, the Camp Creek Trail and the Lawrence Creek Trail for a total of about 5 miles. The woods were quiet and blanketed with snow, in places covering a thick layer ofice (ask Durena).
We were fortunate to see a red-tailed hawk as well as several snowmen. We went for coffee afterwards and discussed our summer plans - see previous post.
